I thought I read somewhere that some have used an alternative window frame gasket in place of the standard back frame gasket. I can't seem to find where I read that. Seems obsurd to have to drill rivets and remove entire window to replace window gasket.
I have the windows out now and ready to reinstall.
I believe it was RankAm and Aerowood both who discussed eliminating the back frame gasket. I think they used butyl tape between the skin and frame. Then prepped the frame for flush rivets. Lastly, used a D gasket with adhesive. Don’t remember for sure, but makes sense to me. They both have threads on their rebuild. Good luck
