Have you installed a magnetic screen door?

We’ll be in buggy country this summer so I’m looking into a magnetic screen door to use in addition to the Airstream screen door. Is it even possible to install one on an Airstream inside doorframe? Is there a brand to recommend. Finally, will they really keep out more bugs so I can sleep better? Thanks!

We have one on our garage side door and the closure works well, but I would not consider the screen to be noseeum proof. They are secured by tacks and come in a 39X83” size, so there would be considerable extra that you may be able to wrap around a frame to set in place, hanging off the rain gutter and secured to the hinges/handle/step. It all seems like a fussy job for not much more air or protection than the standard door.
PS I’ve found that wiping on a pyrethrum based clothing treatment makes my door and window screens more effective against the tiny biters.

Thanks Don. That's good advice. I'll try the chemical and forego the second screen. It saves some time anyway.

Happy Summer.

Rolef Magnetic Screen door for AirStream TT
I installed a Rolef magnetic screen door on our 2013 Airstream Interstate and we love it. Makes entrance and exit a lot easier and allows to keep the slide rear doors open while camping.

We also have a 2015 FC28 and I would like to install a magnetic Rolef screen in place of the aluminum screen door. Has anyone on the forum done this?
