Fantastic Fan

2021 International 25FBT. FF keeps closing even when no rain or moisture. Can humidity do this?

On our older ones it really had to have rain drops hit the sensor to close. I assume you have set the fan thermostat to high. Could be either the temp or rain sensor acting up.

FF Rain Sensor

First thing I did on both our 2017 International and 2019 FC was to disconnect the stupid rain sensor. If I was just sweating a bit the dang things would close. Easy job to disconnect. I also installed the FF "Ultrabreeze" fan covers. I can leave the fan lids open just about all the time. It has to be raining really hard and the wind blowing in the right direction before any water comes in. Easy fix.

What uraljohn said. The sensors are not very good and there is no fix. Disassemble the covering trim and disconnect the sensor from it's circuit board. The job is not technical or requires anything more than a screwdriver.

These temperamental rain sensors are why I went with the MaxxFan Deluxe on my trailer. I had the FF on a previous rig and could never use them in high humidity or a foggy morning without problems. The MaxxFan Deluxe can be used in a downpour without a drop getting inside.

Mine has been very reliable, but before disconnecting, make sure the sensor is clean.

I put a new FF in my AS a few years ago. Rarely did it close due to moisture other than rain. A couple of years ago, I put a Maxxair cover over the fan. I leave the fan lid open nearly year round for some fresh air circulation.
