Cabinet door hinge frustration!

Always coming unfastened and difficult to snap back on. Why do they have to be so complicated? Is there an easy way of putting them back together that I am missing? 2017 International Serenity.

Unhinged

Hey- Ive been in the cabinet business for many years using the euro style hinge you pictured.
Hold the door at 90 to the cabinet and slide the front of the hinge onto the plate with the back on a bit of an angle -once the front is locked in press the back in agianst the plate -you should hear a click when the hinge locks in.
If you find its the same hinge - its likely its not snapped in properly - also if you practice snapping a door on and off a dozen times youll becime an expert - lining the front up is key-top to bottom - good luck

Airstream uses these because they work for cabinets with no face frames, and are very adjustable.

But I bump the hinge while loading things. Snap! It's off.
So my solution was to visit e-bay and buy a package of these:
Made for boating to secure Bimini tops to rails.
The size is good for straddling the tab that releases the hinge.
Think "Bumper".

I don’t think I need a box of 500. ☹️

I had the same issue with our cabinets. Thanks to feedback on the Forum I used these clips and they work perfectly.

I went to the site and added a quantity of 1, and the shopping cart said they were $0.61 each.

Try again with the quantity you need.

I hope you're right.
I just ordered 40. ($37)
I think $13 to ship is too much, but it will be worth it.
If I have some left over, I'll send them to anyone who asks.

Just ordered 26 of the clips. Based on what everybody is saying - looks like the solution many Airstreams may need as a standard feature.

I’ve used the clips about a year now, and no more issues. Highly recommend 👍

These clips are a simple, yet effective fix. Airstream became aware if the solution about a year ago - we picked up the clips at the service center in JS during Alumapalooza.

European hinge clips

At Alumapalooza this May, Airstream said they are aware of the hinge problem but didn’t know that clips were supposed to come with the hinges. They found this out later. We asked for some and got them at no charge. Not sure what the cost would be if you need them shipped.

Yes please. I'll split shipping and take a bunch whatever that works out to!

Ordered these clips and they are no longer steel. We’ll have to wait to see if the plastic ones work.
