Bathroom overhead compartment door comes loose

Does anyone have suggestions on how to keep the bathroom overhead door from popping open when towing?

When I had my GT to JC for some warranty repairs I asked them about this issue and they installed a latch with greater clamping pressure. So that would be what I would suggest.

I don't have specifics but I think they went from a 5 lb. latch to an 10 lb. latch. They are readily available I think.

I hope that helps a bit!

We took a piece of velcro (the “industrial” variety) and put a “scratchy” piece under the cabinet to the far left then put a “fluffy” piece on the inside of the mirror with 3 inches or so of it hanging below the mirror (we didn’t remove the backing for that part) so that the pieces would hook together when closed and underway. To hide the hanging “fluffy” bit during normal use, we put a small piece of the “scratchy” bit right next to it on the inside of the mirror so it could fold over and hook to it.

I put a small strap with a snap under the right corner. You don't see it and DW always remembers to snap it before travel.
