Any ideas-Screen Door won't stay closed

Hi All,

I've searched the forum but can't seem to find anything specific to my issue exactly. The screendoor on our 23fb won't stay latched. I don't see any bends or mis-alignment issues with hinges. I just can't get the latch to stay in the slot on the doorframe piece. I'm I missing something here? The latch is riveted (of course) to the screen and the so is the receiver on the doorframe. So don't think I can adjust those.

any advice?

Adjustment, maybe, maybe not.

Look closely at the bullet latch. Does it have a strong push on the plastic bullet or is it a bit lazy? Mine had a broken spring really lazy. Drilled out 4 rivets and now its assessment time. Replace the broken spring or the entire bullet latch assy? I found a spring at hardware store that could have fixed my lazy latch but a new latch was in hand.

Fixed it!

The bottom hinge was hitting frame. Took a wood block and pushed it. Screen latches like new...
