yes but a true SERVICE MANUAL??? is that available anywhere??? I seem to actually HAVE the owners manual! (none too specific.).

It depends.
Airstream first came out with the service manual in around 72. They also sell them at the Airstream Store for $60. If you have an earlier 70's unit, a newer book will be close and better then nothing.
