1966 window assembly

Iíve looked but canít seem to find a schematic/assembly drawing of the curved windows from 1966. I want to make sure I donít hurt anything when Iím taking them apart to fix some leaks. Anybody have any pics or a drawing?

Thanks

There is a user here by the name aluminuminum. He renovated a 68 Globetrotter and has rebuilt the Corning curved glass windows, glass bar, hinge and Phillips crank actuators. Find his thread and find the section on windows.

I think it will help you. He had made diagrams of the whole assembly.

Along with Alum.... also look at Vintage Gaskets Sales. He sells various window and door gaskets. He has some diagrams there about the various window designs.

Also Vintage Trailer Sales and reference material on the Vintage Airstream Club reference section.

We have a 66 Safari that we renovated. Our curved windows are absolutely frameless. At the top is a ďJĒ assembly with the top glass frame ( the only one on the glassĒ slides into the J receiver. The top glass frame has a slot that the top of the glass slides into with adhesive. The adhesive holds the glass in the top frame that slides into the fixed J receiver. I know this sounds like mud, but once you get into it, itís pretty simple. We took she panes out of the top frame, cleaned the frame and re-adhered the glass. Iím sure there are drawings somewhere. Good luck
