What's this shut-off valve-Argosy MH 28'

I have recently purchased a 1978 Argosy 28' MH. In exploring the tanks, valves, etc. underneath I found a shut-off valve between shower and gray tank. Does anyone know purpose of this valve (I know it shuts it off, but why)?

An educated guess would be so the shower could be isolated to keep grey water from backing up into it when the grey tank gets full.

Terry,
Your educated guess makes sense. I can not see any other reason for a shut-off valve being in this location.

Balrgn,
I forgot to mention that my bath is in the rear area near bedroom. My grey and black tanks therefore are in that area. My propane tank is under the passenger side front window. I'm new to the forum, so haven't experimented with linking pictures yet. Will do so when my wife gets back in town with digital camera.

Thanks to you both.

Cool, 8' must makes a huge difference! Mine has a rear bath, fuel tank is on the road side near the front wheel.
I just pulled out the propane tank to have a new valve installed. Good luck with yours, looking forward to pics!
