I've always been frustrated with my factory sink fixtures on my '07 Airstream. They're good quality Moen faucets but their setup for efficient use of water leaves something to be desired.
As an aside, they both had gentle sloping spouts, such that when the trailer leaned to the passenger side, turning on the faucet in low, would result in water following down the spout neck and down onto the countertop. Surely not ideal for boondocking where level may not always be possible.
Specifically, both kitchen and bathroom faucets had over the top water controls. One had to reach over the spout to turn on the water. Quickly reposition hands within the water flow as it wastes precious ounces. Then when done, wastes more ounces to reach over the top again to close off the water. Which also drips water onto the countertop with wet hands.
Figure with the right faucets, I could save 1/4-1/2 the water volume when quickly washing hands.
Notably, both replacement faucets now have controls in reach with hands already in position underneath the spout.
Much much happier with these two units. Water control position makes all the difference.
The bathroom one is a bit more modern than I like, but the control position was more important. Fortunately it's curved design motif is not necessarily out of place against my modern decor AS.
