If there is no grey tank, where is the water draining?

What have you been doing for the past 14 years?

IIRC 69s had no Grey Tank unless you've added one. In that era grey water drained to the ground and it was up to you to route it where you wanted it with a hose.

As a former owner of a plumbing drain cleaning franchise, let me explain what is happening. Its the same thing that happens in a house.

There is a restriction of the flow into your black tank (septic tank or city sewer). When the vanity is draining, it is at a higher elevation than the tub. The rushing water hits the restriction then backs up into the least resistance, which is the tub because it is at the lowest elevation before the restriction. When your main sewer line starts backing up, the first place you will notice it is in your tub.

We used to sell a product called Bio-clean. It would eat away at that restriction without hurting the plastic pipes. Do not use draino or liquid plumber as these products can melt plastic pipes. You want to use something that is bio-degradable, not chlorine based. Here is an amazon link to the Bio-clean product: https://www.amazon.com/Bio-clean-Dra.../dp/B001N09KN4

Yes, we too sold it for $40 to $50, and there was a nice "margin" in that price. I will say that this stuff did work better than any other product we tested. The results are not immediate, you need repeated applications as per the instructions. But eventually, it should clear the restriction.

The water is backing up in to the tub because you have the termination cap on the sewer dump. You have no "grey water holding tank". Thus no where for grey water to go other than in the shower.
If you remove the sewer cap the grey water will drain.
