Tanks, Tanks, Tanks
We have a 2015 27FB FC that we have had in enclosed storage in Texas for the summer hot months - 4 months so far. I visit her once a week and have noticed that the water in the potty gets cloudy within a week. So I have been changing it out each week. I am sure the heat has baked out any chlorine that was in the water. So last week I put in the fresh water tank 1/2 of a water bottle of bleach. The fresh water tank is 50% full. My question is am I harming my fresh water tank or anything else by having a high chlorine level? It has been a week now & the potty water is clear.
Thanks,
Glenn

That high a concentration of bleach can damage seals. I'd cut way back if I were you.

What Paprika says. This is what I call catastrophic cleanliness, or in medicine killing the patient with the cure.
The water in the potty is doing its job by preventing odors from wafting up into your trailer. Don't hate it for turning cloudy.
The correct amount of bleach in your FW holding tank is only 1/4 cup for 15 gals at the most!
The hyperchlorination makes plastic things brittle.

What in ounces do you estimate you added in bleach? Did you add half a bottle of bleach (more than a quart) or, as you state, one half of a water bottle (perhaps as littles as 8 oz)? If it's the latter, you're still a little strong but not nearly as over-chlorinated as to be a real problem.
I'd top out the tank just to dilute to a safer level in either case. But you can always drain and refill if want to be sure your chlorine is not too high.

Good catch rowie bowie. I misread it to mean 1/2 a bottle of bleach. !/2 a water bottle could be more like 8 ounces (the correct amount for 60 gallons not 39), which could be acceptably diluted by adding fresh water, draining half, then topping it off again.

You just gave your tanks a nice stiff shock of chlorine (which accomplished your goal of making sure your tanks are sanitized). Almost certainly no damage done.

You could do as Alimaholic suggests and be set for your next trip.

If you are concerned about your toilet seals drying out if the water evaporates, you could do what I do when I winterize: fill toilet half full of fluid (in your case of water), then cover the toilet bowl with plastic cling wrap. Keeps water from evaporating and drying out seals.
