Sewer Hose Support
I’ve got a 28’ FC on order and am trying to pick out stuff I need, like a sewer hose and hose support.
I read on one sewer hose review that the hose support he purchased was too tall to get a fall from his “Airstream.” No other details were in the review.
I will be getting the 3” Dexter lift.
Anybody with a recent model year AS and lift have good/bad luck with this contraption due to height or any other problems?
Thanks.

Never used/needed one.
Disclaimer...we rarely stay 'attached' and dump mostly at a home connection, and have no need for a 'lift'.

We also have never used one. I'm always looking to carry less items.
And since we only drain the waste tanks when full, or nearly full, there is no need to keep the hose connected.

A sewer support isn't needed even if you do keep the hose connected. I've always wondered why others bother with them. The black water tank drain should always be closed unless you are draining the tank, otherwise you'll have no liquid in the tank to break down solids. Water from the gray water tank will flow into the city sewer once the hose is full without any assistance from a support. I also like having water laying in the gray hose to form a gas tight seal between the city sewer and the trailer. When traveling, I empty both tanks in the evening before the travel day and put the hose away. It makes less to do in the morning before travel. What little accumulates overnight is carried to the next destination.

Spaggs, I have a 99 Safari 25 which came standard with 14" rims. When dumping at a campground with full hookups and using a sewer support you have to shorten the sewer support as it is taller than the 3" tank outlet. I have since switched to using a Valtera Sewer Solution SS01. It is a macerating sewer hose, works great and flushes system too.
Available on Amazon $77

I have one now in my garage at home waiting to be sold, given away or sent to the dump - I could only see using this if connected for a long time - maybe.

I am the mayor of the Keep It Simple Stupid community. I do use a support when camped and connected. I went to my local second hand construction store (Habitat for Humanity) and purchased a 10 foot section of plastic gutter. I cut it at 6 feet and have two pieces that nest together. I use a few 2by6 or 2by4 blocks to get the right elevation and it is pretty easy. I do have a pickup as my tv which makes it nice to bring these parts along.
One of the drawbacks of owning an Airstream is the lack of storage. Getting a slinky sort of support would cause me more trouble than it is worth.

Our 23' came with one from the previous owner. We bought our AS in 2014 and I think I was able to use it maybe once. Our AS sits so low that elevating the hose makes things worse instead of better. When parked I leave our hose on the ground and for better drainage I will raise the stabilizers and lower the nose a little, then dump. Then I just put things back. Yes that leaves some in the tanks but when we leave a CG to go home I stop at the dump station to get the last of it out and rinse with water.

We've used the "slinky" type hose support for the past seven years. It works well when staying at a site with full hookups (i.e. sewer connection). Good drainage and takes up minimal space when stored - it fits back inside its small box when folded. I can't think of any cons regarding this device.
