sewer adapter for 1988 25 ft Excella Airstream

Hi everyone
I just purchased a 27gallon XL Thetford portable waste tank. I realized that my sewer pipe on my 1988 25 foot Excella airstream is 4 inches. Is there an adapter to reduce from 4 to 3 inches so I can go directly from the airstream to the portable tank?

Thanks

Why the portable tank? The standard dumping arrangement for a 80 trailer would be a Thetford adaptor on the trailer that goes to a 3" hose. Check vintage trailer and OutDoors mart online for the fittings. They carry a variety of the Tetford adaptors. I was able to get on to connect to a solid sewer pipe, for instance. What is the portable tank for? Extended boon docking. Walmart seems to have pretty much quit carrying the Tetford fittings for the older Airstreams.

I believe the sewer pipe is 3" on your coach. 4" is huge, I use a 4" pipe to store the sewer hose.
You can go to the Thetford web site and find what is available.

You can buy a hose with bayonet fittings on each end so you can hook up the tank to the trailer. Thetford through camping world on line. Jim

Hi John,

What hose are you using now to dump from your 1988 25 foot Excella to a campground sewer line?

I use an adapter from Amazon to go from my 89 Squarestream to a common slinky. Then another adapter from the slinky to the campground sewer line.

This is the adapter:
Valterra T05-2285VP; Thetford to Valterra Universal Adapter

Amazon

Hey everybody,
Just came into owning a 1988 34' excella. I need a sewer drain hose. Would like to have one about 15 feet. Any suggestions?
