Question about mixing valve

Just returned from trip where we had issues with getting hot water flow. All seemed to point to mixing valve. Took twin bed apart to gain access. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled it. It worked normally! (I hate it when that happens). Just to be on the safe side, I want to buy a new one. We have the 6 gallon water heater, but it seems that all the valves I have found are for the 10 gallon water heater Are they the same valve?

I just can't see any connection to the size of the HW tank and the mixing valve. Got me on that one. It's nothing more than a meeting of water lines from 2 sources and blending them together. My vote is that it "DON'T MATTER".

Hi

Best guess is that there was something in the line (or the faucet ) and it cleaned its self out. There really isn't anything much that can go wrong with that valve as long as you don't have it freeze and split in half .....

Yeah, don't replace a working valve, they are way too simple to work intermittently, must have been trash as was mentioned. Do you filter the water coming into your trailer? You should.
