Pump problem

The water pump, pumps water. It will go very well, build up pressure so as to shut down, but then kind of have a low roar. Never shuts down. I’ve checked everywhere for leaks. No leaks. I have fully bled the lines. No air in lines. My guess is the pressure switch on the pump is bad. It’s not a big deal at this point simply because we mostly use the camp water. So don’t use the pump.

I’ve looked into the cost of a switch, and basically I have to take the pump out to replace the switch. Figure it would be easier just to put in a new pump. Then fix the switch later and have a spare pump.

But if the shurflow pump is prone to breaking like this, anyone have any suggestions on a more durable pump?

When I had to replace my pump last year I didn't want to pay the overly high prices at the local RV stores. So what I did is I hit up my favorite farm store (Rural King) and bought an Everflow pump for around $60. I did go with 2.2 gpm instead of a 3 gpm, which was maybe $20 higher on price. So I that would be my suggestion is to hit up your local farm supply store and see what they have. At Rural King these pumps are located where you find the stuff for the field sprayer supplies.

Well went on the trip. Bought a new pump. Decided not to put in right away. Stopped at the gas station. Decided to use the airstream bathroom. Turned on pump. Worked correctly. Strange. Must have shaken something loose.

You scared it into working.

Or maybe the drive did something.
