Plumbing a 1967 Trade Wind for City Water Connection

I have a 1967 TradeWind. Our Silver Hotdog! It does not have a city water connection and I would like to install one. Does anyone know if there is a reference for installing the plumbing for this? I know the fresh water tank is bypassed. So is there a place after the pump where the city water would enter and then how does it get dispersed through the camper (sink, tub, hotwater heater)? In our trailers we have the pump adjacent to the fresh water tank. I have bypass valves that I can leave the pump and fresh water tank isolated out of the system. We ran the PEX on the street side at the bottom corner of the wall. The PEX runs through a wardrobe. So, on the street side a couple of inches above the subfloor just behind the street side wheel well we placed a stainless water inlet. When we hook up to city water, we energize the trailer piping with their pressure. We do have backflow preventers and pressure regulators.

Hooked the city fill inlet into the cold water trailer line with a shutoff valve.

I believe you can tie a city water connection into the cold water line anywhere downstream of the pump. You will just need a shut off valve or a check valve to prevent backflow.

We generally camp without hookups but even when we have water available we just use it to fill up the tank. I think it probably helps us conserve water usage and filling up the grey water tank.

A reverse flow check valve is required everywhere in the US where juridictions use the standard plumbing code. Just by a water inlet fixture that inlet has one installed.
