Have 1999 Safari and has anyone ever used Shark Bite fittings to repair thier water lines. My hot and cold lines are SDR 9 5/8 od?

Used SB fittings in 1/2" to replumb the water heater and bathroom sink. Been a few years and nary a leak. Secret is to get the tubing cut as close to 90 degrees as possible.
