Cool Pipe insulation

I see what looks like the remnents of vinyl pipe wrapping on the rear bathroom plumbing. [71' Int.] Is that original?? Does it make any sense to it again with foam insulation?? Tom

mine does

my 1977 overlander has that to. i think its original it looks like it. i was thinking about putting that pipe insolation on mine i dont think it would be that hard to do.
