Lock on Fresh water fill door

When I bought our '74 Argosy 26' it came with all the keys save one: that for the the fresh water fill door at the front of the coach. Just had the locksmith over and he was able to pick the lock. The only way to remove the lock (to examine and make a key) is to unrivet the lock unit from skin - possibly unrivet skin. The door is a Thetford product. The locksmith can impression the key but It would help to narrow down what is the correct blank. Several questions arise: 1. Has anyone else faced this issue and what have you done? 2. Can one or several of y'all post a picture of your key from the appropriate era? It will be a small double-sided key (teeth in both sides)? Thanks!

I think you'll find these to be a common key through the RV industry and certainly within Airstream. I'm not sure which key it is on the ring I have here. The one I keep at my trailer is stamped so I can ID it. Sorry. Someone here will confirm it, I'm sure.
You should be able to order one.

I don't know how to include an attachment here but google Airstream Water fill key and you should find it. It says G248 was used for water fill in 1974.
