Leaking shower.

We bought a 2019 16' bambi from the dealer near us and on our first trip we found a large leak of water when we used the shower that flowed into the area with the converter and fuses . it was a large leak and the outside leakage was slow. we are concerned about the damage to the flooring and structure. is there any way to tell if there is structural damage or are we at the mercy of the dealer. We are strongly considering backing out of the contract. Any suggestions?

That's a hard question to answer because nobody knows if it is a new leak or a leak the previous owner ignored. I would find the cause of the leak first and go from there. If you have floor damage you will feel soft spots when you press down on it.

Hi

Did the previous owner ever use the shower? Some folks are not fans of getting everything wet. Others simply don't fit in the space well enough to use it.

The real question is: just where is the water coming from? Once you know that, you will be closer to working out what else you need to dig into.

thanks, both the exact questions we are trying to figure out. We bought from a dealer and have no contact with the prior owner.

trying to figure out ways to tell is there is structural damage that we can independently verify and don't have to rely on the dealer.

Thanks for your thoughts, I appreciate the input.

Hi

To be certain of the condition of all the structural components, you would need to disassemble the trailer. Short of that, all you can do is guess. First step in the guessing process is to find the source of the water.
