Knucklehead Noob Mistake
I got a 2011 International Serenity FB 25' last summer in Arizona, drove it home to WV last fall. My wife got cancer in November, and I was so distracted that I don't think I did anything to winterize except drain the gray and black tanks.
It got below freezing maybe twice this winter, for about a day each time.
Problems so far.
- Toilet value popped at supply line hookup. Fixed.
- Water pump sprung a leak near the input side. New pump ordered.
- A 2" pex tub (hot water I think) in a rat's nest of tubes near the water pump drips pretty freely.
- When I fill fresh water tank, it only takes about 2 gallons. But status was 3/4 full. So I blew some air (former trombone player) into the fill tube, now status is full. Slow drip coming from belly pan.
> I can probably swap out the pex tubing.
> Does the belly pan hold up the water tank, or is the water tank separately attached? If I'm lying under the belly pan when I drop it, is a 300 pound water tank going to land on me?
> Where else might I expect to find problems from a lack of winterization?
My wife's plumbing is fine now, but the Airstream's is kinda screwed.
Thanks.
