How to remove toilet seat / adding a Bidet?

Team, I don't like it when the toilet seat and lid slams. I like those slow closing seat and lid. I purchased a slow closing lid, it would seem to be the right shape to go on my '14 FC19.

Any visual reference to how to remove it?

Second part, I just installed a new Bidet at my house, LOVE it! Anyone ever install a Bidet on their AS?

Bidet....IMHO.
A fairly extravagant use of limited facilities.
Plus...you already have the sprayer on a hose to experiment with.

On the lid thing.....it's not my job.

We have Toto Washlets in our house. They are great! Seat warmer, bidet, dryer, odor control, slow closing lid. The power is 110v, so only on shore power.

In my opinion, its best for elongated toilets as they close up the bowl target area. In a round toilet, its almost too tight.

You can get slow closing seats...many manufactures make them now. It's funny, when my daughter (7 years old) goes to our in laws bathroom, she forgets and just drops the seat......Bam! In laws ask why does she do that....Hahaha.

I don't think you'll be able to replace your seat with the slow close. The hinge system is different.

Here is one from the Big Box Store. Just slow closing seat not Washlet.

Kohler has them, Quiet-Close toilet seat.
American Standard, Slow-Close toilet seat.

I'm not partial to Toto but I have installed many Washlet bidet seats. We do new commercial construction but some high end residential. Many Toto's toilets come with the slow close seat but when they want the Washlet seat installed, we keep the original seat.

Because of this many of my friends have them and love them. I don't wish to sound weird but they have a certain angle that.....well spreads your cheeks. LOL. Sorry for that.

I just wish I had not given them all away. I may need to purchase my own.

One of my first mods in our 2017 25' was a soft close lid. This should be a baseline offering for RV toilets especially from an Airstream.

I picked up a white "round" toilet seat and soft close lid from Home Depot. I removed the old seat by unscrewing the lid hinges. Next, follow the instructions, and screw in the new hinge connectors. Done. It took less than five minutes.

How did you remove the existing toilet seat? I can't get my hands or any tools to unscrew it from a tight and weird angle. I have the FC19 '14

It was very easy just to reach around with my hands. No tools required. I did use a screw drive on the reinstall to make certain the seat wouldn't slip around
