Globetrotter 27FB - What is the white valve for?
Hello everyone.
Does anyone know what this white valve is for? I checked my manual several times but see no mention of it.
I noticed it while winterising but didn't notice that it had any effect no matter if I had it opened or closed.
Thanks.

That is the low point drain for the cold water lines on the left side of the trailer. I was wondering the same thing during our winterizing.

I may be wrong, but not sure if that is correct. It may be a drain for the water heater, but I'm not 100% sure. Never heard of a third low point drain. I have 1 hot and 1 cold low point drain between the tires on my 2016, 27' Flying cloud. I also have the valve in your picture, right next to the water heater under the bathroom sink. I may be wrong, in which case I'm sure I will be corrected!!

This is definitely an additional low point drain for the cold water lines on the left side of the trailer, it is NOT connected in any way to the water heater.

We have a 2019 GT and I believe that valve is to allow / prevent water going to the water heater.

I have a 2012 and it has the same 3rd low point drain, yes even that long ago. It is near the water heater but it is a low point drain.

This is not correct. It is a cold water drain. The valve to prevent water going to the water heater (water heater bypass valve) is the yellow one that you can see in the second photo located above the white drain valve.

Inside Low Point Drain
In the photo below the white valve on the floor is a low point drain, it is NOT the water heater bypass. The single water heater bypass is the yellow valve above. This low point drain exits the bottom of the trailers just forward of the trailers right front wheel. It is the only drain valve inside of the trailer.
The other three drain valves are on the bottom of the trailer and are between the left side wheels. One fresh water tank drain (white plastic) and one hot water and one cold water low point drain valve (metal.)
In my 2019 27' Globetrotter owners manual thee is NO mention of the inside low point drain below the water heater (OOOPS )

This is what Colonial AS Service says
I reached out to Colonial to see if they could shed some light on this.
"This is a hot water drain. It is only for draining residual hot water in the lines. Always drain the water heater from outside and remove the plug."
Not sure where the residual water drains but this is what they said.

True but somewhat misleading. The white valve is a LOW POINT DRAIN, this is easy enough to see if you look at the plumbing under the sink. It drains out from a short piece of tubing under the trailer just forward of the right front wheel as I stated in my previous post. Draining the water heater is a whole other issue. The water heater is drained from the outside of the trailer by opening the access panel to the heater and removing the white plastic plug near the bottom of the tank.
I can't recall without looking again but I believe it is on a cold water line. It really doesn't matter whether it is hot or cold, it needs to be open to drain the pipes.
