Fresh Water Says Open?

So I don't have much faith in the accuracy of the tank sensors anyway.....but now the fresh water tank has been saying 'OPn' - I'm assuming 'open'!

This happens off and on. Sometimes it gives a percent and seems to be accurate, sometimes not.

The tank is full to the point of overflow by the outside fill cap. The pump is primed and air purged. It doesn't matter if the pump is on or off - same message 'OPn'.

Thoughts?

Pull that display off the wall, unplug it for a minute, then plug it back in...see what that does for it.

Otherwise, https://www.garnetinstruments.com/wp...anual_v3.1.pdf

More Info

You can download the installation manual on the manufacture’s web site, and it includes a troubleshooting guide. It also has some other beneficial information such as how to set the display brightness , calibration and a model that has Blue Tooth. Yours is in this list called:

"709 SeeLeveL II Series / Display Manual for all 709 Models v1.1 / Display Manual, Manual"

https://www.garnetinstruments.com/ho...ource-library/

I also found by a web search, some instructions for resetting the Monitor:

To reset a SeeLevel II Tank Monitor, you can try these steps:
1. Press and hold down the button for the tank you want to check
2. While holding down the tank button, press and hold down the BATT button
3. Continue holding both buttons until the display shows "dIA" (diagnostics)
4. Keep holding both buttons until the display enters programming mode, which should take about 5 seconds

A few years ago, when my Monitor was giving some inconsistent readings, I took a chance and replaced the Monitor only. It was the best hundred bucks I ever spent, it has been working perfectly ever since

I got my monitor here:

https://www.rvupgradestore.com/Seele.../709-p3-mo.htm

Best of luck

OPn = open circuit as per the above suggested Garnet manual.

I just had this after an electrical upgrade.

This is one solution but there may be other reasons for the Open code.

The low voltage line doesn't like being near other power lines. They cause interference. I had to move around some wiring in the belly pan to keep the thin blue and white wires leading from the sensors to the panel away from other power lines. Once I did that, the Open code went away.

This may not apply to you but if the wiring heading into the panel checks out, you need to check the other end. You'll need to get access to the belly pan near the dump port. That's usually where the sensors are.
