Fresh Water Leak

2010 International Serenity 28'. I first noticed that the fresh water holding tank was running out daily, were as it used to take 3-4 days to use up the water in the holding tank, Under trailer inspection revealed fresh water is leaking from black plastic pan under trailer, located between wheels perpendicular to trailer body, held on to bottom with galvanized metal straps. Is this the actual holding tank, or is there another holding tank under this black plastic pan?
(As a side note would also like to add that we also had an invasion of mice, I have trapped 5-10 mice, leak happened during mice invasion time period)
Before I try to remove this pan and look for source of leak, any suggestions, information, tips, hints, warnings, etc, would be greatly appreciated.

I am assuming that the pump was not on for that period of time and the leak is in fact from the tank.

You have to drop the pan for any inspection. Mice will eat at some plastics when new because of the gas given off.

The pump does not come on or cycle while water is leaking out, Before I drop pan, are there any water lines that need to be dis-connected? I have attached picture of small hole in black plastic pan, where water is leaking. Is this pan the actual tank? or is the tank inside the pan?

Can't tell from the picture but I suspect that is the tank. Take a stiff wire and push it up through the hole. If there is a tank inside, and that is just a cover pan, you should touch it within 2 inches.

The only piping to the fresh water tank are the fill tube and the pickup tube.

The hole looks like it was possibly patched at one time. There is a smaller tank under front galley seats, I am guessing that this is a pressure tank, because even though the pump is on, it never comes on or cycles off and on while water is leaking out of bottom pan. If this bottom pan is the actual fresh water holding tank, patching small hole is easy fix. However if bottom pan is not the actual tank, I don't want to just patch hole and forget about it...... if the leak is internal, it could cause rotting/rusting , etc, problems.

I pushed up wire as you suggested Howie, wire went through a bit of foam, (from feel of it), then stopped within 1/2". So I guess next step is let water all drain out then try to back off bolts and ease pan down to attempt access to leak....Thank you for your suggestions, and I will re-post as this progresses...

Removed tank today, cracked connection on tank at pump line output.

That same type connection is what blew out on my city water fill line just as it goes into the pressure reducing valve. Spent about $7 on parts from Home Depot and 2 days changing out the line.
