Has anyone replaced the outside shower with the Stainless Shower Compartment from Airstream? If so how difficult was it?
I was told it was a simple removal and replacement, but when I tried to pull the compartment out, it feels like there is little or no play/slack in the water pipes.
Can it be done completely from the outside, or did you need to remove panels from the inside? I have a 25' 2011 FB Flying Cloud.
We were able to install it from the outside, but it was a tight squeeze to reach in and loosen/tighten the pipe fittings, and in our case (2015 EB 27), we had to use a dremel to slightly expand the aluminum opening; the rounded corners of the opening needed to be squared off to make the new SS unit fit.
