No, my drain valves in my '72 are easy to access and work well manually.

I would be hesitant to install an electric drain valve. I have had times where something gets stuck at the valve trying to leave the tank. I can feel it when I try to close the valve. If I had an electric one I may not know it and break the valve when I try to close it.
