burst pipe?

Well the kids had Monday off for President's day so I decided we would load up and go camping ata park not too far away. We got there and I was hooking everything up and then turned on the water and immediately started hearing water spraying inside the camper I run around and go in and sure enough water coming out from behind toilet and under cabinets. It appears I have a burst water pipe under the floor or one that comes through inner skin to feed toilet or shower. I've got to pull some belly pan this weekend and figure it out. That is after I bleed the brakes on new to us 1990 F150 that we will use to tow with after I sell the Dodge 2500 Hemi 2004 model. I also plan to buy a used grocery getter that gets very good gas mileage and have a few thousand left from the sell of the hemi.

That is just not a good thinhg! Atleast you found it now rather than after ut ran for several hours. I've been removing all the abandoned copper in my old Sov and parts were split right down the sides. Bad luck for a PO. Main lines replaced with PEC.
Just returned from ME. where my brother n law was estimating damage to a lake house. Aparantly fuel delivery got the wrong house and the tank went dry...a month later the owners came up...not pretty at all. Three year old house ready to gut. Gasp!

Most of those pipes go between the inner skin and the decor plastic, above the floor, at least on the Minuets. Sounds like checking in the washstand and locating the pipes behind the toilet would be a thing to try before pulling the belly pan. Unless you enjoy pulling the pan... The only place I find water pipes below the floor in my Argosy is the place it enters the trailer from the supply outside.

Same on the 1969 31ft water runs inside above the floor next to the heater vents.

Mossy, I'm very familiar with that sound. At least it didn't happen to you at the Can Opener like it did me last year. I only had to remove the bath vanity drawers to find my leaky pipes running behind. I hope your's will be just as easy.

I am with them, don't drop the belly pan. You won't find much there. Yours is around the same year as mine, and the lines should run inside. Your best bet is to get rid of the copper and replace it with some PEX. There are several places to get it. Lowe's, Home Depot, Menards, McCoys, etc. Might as well upgrade since you have to get in there anyway. Also, pay special attention to the water heater and hope it isn't bust also.

Well I can't see the pipe either behind the toilet or under the sink. There are pipes there but not the one that is burst. I think it may be the pipe coming into the camper from the main supply. The pipes have been replaced with the PEX. I really don't know how this happened as there shouldn't have been any water in the lines or enough anyway to burst pipes. I had drained lines after the canopener and not used since. I might get under there and find a connection has come loose or something, I'll let y'all know.

It appears the pipes in question must be behind the plastic behind the toilet. Anyone have an idea of how to get to it, how do I remove the plastic, etc.. Thanks in advance for any help.

Depending on the toilet - there is a plastic coupler that the water line connects to. On ours it cracked and water was running down under the toilet making it hard to tell where it was coming from. What brand and model toilet is it..?

The toilet isn't the problem, it's the copper pipe that is behind the plastic which is behind the toilet. It certainly looks as if the plastic should come out without taking the toilet out. I think one or two rivets may have caught it on one end and that is what is keeping it from coming out. I'll have to work on it some more tomorrow or this weekend.

If anyone has any advice on how to remove the plastic to get at the copper pipes please let me know. Thanks again.
