You’re right!
The top fixture is the union, which the hand shower hose attaches to. The lower is the control and mixer.
Juel, when you first wrote me on these forums you asked why I would even think of redoing such a nice, original Argosy.
Maybe I should have listened to you then!! A year later, I am just starting to put it all back together again.
Marc, the mixer is the one shown in the West Marine catalog. I contacted SCANDVIK, the manufacturer or importer in Florida. They couldn’t sell direct but had 5 dealers quote me by email. It was a kind of email auction.
The low price was from BOATOWNERSWAREHOUSE.COM, 30% cheaper than West Marine’s price.
Do you see the hole in the skin in the back wall? We turned the flexible lines in that space, remounted the plastic bezel on the rear of the Argosy and filled the entire thing with spray foam.
just a bit off topic. I want to remove our bezel and just surface mount my lights. How does the fiberglass mount to the trailer? I didn't see any screws. Are they under the trim moulding that goes around the trailer?

My memory was faulty
Marc:
The bezel attaches to the trailer body with 9 RIVETS, not screws.
They are all along the top lip of the bezel so that they are, as you guessed, hidden under the wrap-around trim piece.
There is no lip along the bottom. The bezel just hangs from the top lip. We used caulk all around the bezel so it is attached more solidly than before.
