Wheel stuck to axle.

Twice now in one month, my wheel has stuck to my axle. Had to beat it off with a sledge hammer. New tire, then had to fix new tire and both times a nightmare to remove tire from trailer. It’s a newer 2012 axle. Afraid to put fixed tire back on should it stick to axle again next time I have a flat. Any thoughts?

I see you are in Texas so rust issues should be minimal but, that could be the problem. Check the out side of your hub where it goes in the wheel and inside of the center hole in your wheel. If there is any rust, clean it up with some sandpaper. Maybe put a little axle grease where they mate. That may help as well.
