Replacing the fridge

The fridge finally gave out in our 69 Globetrotter...
I got it out by essentially dismantling that side of the kitchen...
Got the new one in...
Only to discover that...
Although the fridges were the same dimensions....
The new fridge is designed to sit on the floor whereas the old one was raised on a stand in order to clear the wheel well...
I could put this one on a stand...
But I would have to raise the counter...
Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem..
