They still make Utica Club? I don't think I've every had that beer. I do remember Genesee—very light and somewhat bland, but good for a warm afternoon lazing around.

They sell Genny cream here in the South, not the beer though. Good.

National Music Association 1956

I love guitar music, but no matter how long I took lessons I never was any good. My Dad on the other hand was talented with it. Attached is a photo of him (he is in the center) attending the National Music Association event in 1956 at the Lafayette Hotel in Long Beach, CA. Looks like great times.

What a GREAT photograph...I can hear the music but I can't imagine the color in those shirts and flowers. Where are my "white bucks?"

I agree, I can only imagine what the music sounded like. But help me out. What are "white bucks"? Possibly what they called those pants back then?

Don't recall if anyone has mentioned a gal named Michaela Rae. This lick was recorded when she was 14. OMG.

Some other folks have posted previously about Tommy Emmanuel and I just saw this - holy crap - this guy IS amazing!!

Just officially became a member of the Tommy Emmanuel fan club. Saw him tonight in Atlanta, with Antsy McClain opening for him (us with friends and Antsy before the show). Both are great performers, but when you talk about guitar picking', Tommy is freaking amazing. OMG.

Saw Tommy Emmanuel tonite myself in Birmingham. This makes the 4th time I have seen him. Unbelievable talent. I posted him here sometime back. Love many guitar players but Tommy has no equal.

Luxirradio by Delos Gurney - Joe Miller - YouTube

Here is a piece I composed and is being played by Joe Miller IV who
is an accomplished classical guitarist.

It's called "Luxirradio" and was COMPOSED IN MY AIRSTREAM!

Thanks Brad:

Here's another of my compositions called "The Face of the Deep". Worked on it over several years at sea....
but finally got it together by locking my self in the Airstream for a while.
