I look out my front door and all I see is a wall of snow. And if I look way up, I can see my kids' boots up there as they're getting ready to snowboard down again.

Calgon - Take me Away (to Florida or somewhere similar)!!

So I'm curious - who else is seeing record amounts of snow?
Someone asked if my yoga class yesterday what temp they wanted. Tropical was the answer.

We had snow last night and the night before and the night before. It is expected to snow again tonight. Tomorrow is supposed to be the last snow for a week. Lots in the mountains, it melts in the valleys daily.

It's April 1st, and it's snowing. Again. The wind is howling like crazy - scaring the kids and dogs. sigh.

I had postponed my appointment to bring my A/S into the dealer by a week - and I'm thinking it may have to be postponed even further...

Those of you down south - send some warm weather - Please!!

I really do like New England with its variety of different seasons BUT this winter season has been particularly taxing with all the snow.

I heard that the weather in Hawaii is nice, i.e., no humidity, no bugs and temps in the 70's - 80's. If that is true, then I think I would like that weather!

Vermont

Flew up to Burlington Vermont last week, went to Mad River Glen for 4 days of Skiing. So far that area of Vermont has had almost 6 feet of natural snow this year. They (MRG) should ski well into April if not May!!!
Got to enjoy over a foot of Vermont powder on my last day.

Sure do love those Maple donuts!!!

I'm still in exile in South Carolina. As usual, very little snow here all Winter. There were a few light flurries last week. Around the end of February, a friend back home in Central Colorado reported 45 feet so far, with the traditionally snowiest months of March & April yet to come. But that's down on the Divide, 1,700' below my place. I'm wondering if my old cabin willl even make an appearance this summer!

The North Fork of the South Arkansas River runs from there down through My Dear Ex's yard, and she says she hasn't seen the bridge in a while. Should be an interesting melt season!

Anyone know how much it would cost to ship a 25' Airstream to Hawaii??

I'd even consider UPS to get away from this weather!!

Wow! That's alot of snow! Even in Maine we don't have that much snow. Last weekend there was only a couple of inches on the ground.

With that much snow, you may not see your door until sometime in May.

Stop it! You are torturing us snow-locked New Englanders!

I would love to have a mowing chore right about now!

Same for us. Hopefully this weekend I can resume my yard cleanup activities that I started a few weeks back when the snow first disappeared.

I have to make a comment on my trip to the Bridgton, Maine yesterday and the amount of snow that this still there. I saw huge piles of plowed snow (10 feet high!) that has frozen solid and looks like it will be there another month at least.

I drove through Denmark Maine and the roads are severely frost heaved and had to slow to almost a stop so as not to go airborne. (too late)

Southern Maine shows signs of spring in the last few days

but one hour north it's just depressing..........

Snow Queen.......... wave your magic wand and make it go away!

This was taken this morning from the front door - it's no longer snow, it's mostly ice by this point in time. The deck is 4 steps up so it's more depressing than it looks...

We had a half inch this morning and 3 1/2 Monday. We're up to 64 1/4", but the guy a mile away and 330 feet higher probably has had a 100"—Colorado is the land of microclimates. Recent snow has melted by afternoon and all the snow in the open spots is melted. It had been a rough winter for this area which hasn't had much snow most years since we moved here in 2000. Last winter was almost 70", but previous ones have ranged from 30 to 55". Where we used to live in the mountains west of Denver 100" was a dry year and 150" or so was normal. The rivers and streams are already running high. The snow melts one month or more earlier since global warming started affecting us here and the high(er) country is loaded with snow this year. The ski areas are measuring snow in feet. They promised us more severe weather from now on and it looks like we are all getting it. Most of Florida may disappear under the ocean and Phoenix will be 125˚ in summer. It's been in the low 90's a lot in the summers, even at 6,800', and the old timers say that never used to happen before. Grand Junction is often at 100˚ in the summer—75 miles west and 2,000' lower.

It looks rough in Ottawa and Moncton. Doesn't the government take it all away every day? I know you have high taxes, so isn't that part of the deal?

It was in the upper 60's in Santa Fe last week and we enjoyed the hot weather, even had to use the AC one day when it hit 72˚ early last week. It's supposed to be in 60's here the rest of the week and into the next, but we could get more snow, thundersnow, rain, or a heat wave in the next month. "Spring" is full of surprises here. Colorado never has freezing rain, but as the climate changes, we may get that someday.
