Thousand trails question
I'm staying at a campground near Atlantic city NJ while I work as a Flood Adjuster.
I was asked if I was a 1,000 trials member when I came here (Paid $360 for a month.)
Week later I get called by a guy asking if I wanted to join 1,000 trails, citing to me where I stayed, how much I'd paid for how long etc.
I was NOT happy, and I told him I didn't appriciate the Data mining... he backpettled and told me he worked for the company who owned the camp ground, and told me I would not be bothered again.
Tonight (8:30 at night) I just got ANOTHER call from 1,000 trails... this time from their offices in Fl.
HE also quoted my particulars, and told me I'd ALREADY paid for the membership... and they wanted to give me 30 days here or elsewhere... (And I'm sorry, saying I paid $350, and the membership is $500... I can do basic math... $500 is more than $350!!!)
I was NOT happy, told him I had already been called, he told me I was on a list... and he would take me off the list (Same as the other guy)
Now as I said, I am NOT a fan of people selling my information, and the next time I'm here during daylight house (A rare occurance) I will be sure to let them know.) And I'd about not join something over the details above.
But just in case I checked the membership, and it seems to be a not that great deal for me. (Most of my camping will be boondocking, or on my own land) they make you pay for 'Zones' in addition to the 'annual fee' which is good for 30 days, after that it's $3/Day, you must move every 14 days....
Juuust checking that I havent missed anything.
Anyone?
Thanks
