Thanksgiving messages
Let me be the first here to say Happy and healthy Thanksgiving to all of you.
I am glad to be involved with the "family" of Airstream enthusiasts and thankful for all the advice, help, and good words we all share together.
I wish all safe travels.
Mine will be from the living room to the dining room, and back again!

I am thankful for all of the forums help.
I would be very appreciative to know, and I am very curious as to
how one goes about inserting an even small turkey into an Airsteams
oven ( without the use of feet ).
My friends deep fry them outside. It seems like that would add alot of calories and the oil would cost as much as the bird.
Turkey T.V. dinners come in alloomenum containers....HHMMMMM

the secret to getting a turkey in a magic chef oven, is to buy a smaller turkey.. ...you could also cut up the turkey for faster roasting if you dont care about the circus... as to calories... the oil has to be hot enough to seal...too cold and it will soak up the oil..the same goes for any food...also in the equation is a factor known as recovery time...inserting product into the oil drops the temp of the oil...the quicker the temp of the oil regains also effects the amount of oil absorbed...happy t-day dave...

also use peanut oil, as it has a higher smoke point, and is monosaturated...unfortunately it is more expensive than vegetable oil....

Counting blessings:p
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Found accounts of the trials the Pilgrims endured. Encourages me to "name [my blessings] one by one . . . see what God has done" (says she who too often sees the glass half-empty).
And not the least blessing is bringing an Airstream into my backyard! (Funny thing is, last year this time, I didn't even know I really wanted one! The idea just grew and grew! And this forum had a part in that! Thanks for your help and advice and encouragement!)
See y'all later, have to toddle off to the kitchen, singing as I go! May you all enjoy a wonderful time of celebration.
Nancy

I also wish all a Happy Thanksgiving.
As for the turkey in the airstream oven---you could do what I'm doing. Cooking it at home and transporting it already cut up, and rewarming it as needed.

A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present
"Seven Wonders of the World." Though there were some disagreements,
the following received the most votes:
1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
2. Taj Mahal
3. Grand Canyon
4. Panama Canal
5. Empire State Building
6. St. Peter's Basilica
7. China's Great Wall
While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many."
The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help.
"The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the 'Seven Wonders of the World' are:
1. To See
2. To Hear
3. To Touch
4. To Taste
5. To Feel
6. To Laugh
7. And to Love."
The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly wondrous!
Here's hoping that all of you have a chance to share those "7 wonders of the world" with your loved ones this Thanksgiving.
