Some like it hot. That is funny. It brings back very vivid memories of "enjoying" the hotter fare.

You can tell it's authentic Texas chili 'cause NO BEANS! (Well, 7 out of 8 at least...) I know this is always news to the rest of the country. It should go without saying chili never has elbow macaroni, but I won't call names at anybody's mom ....

WHAT? NO BEANS?
Like we say out here where the west begins; "Anyone who puts beans in Chili, doesn't know beans about Chili"

Still laughing, can't stop, too funny! Sounds a little wilder than the Gumbo Cookoff we went to in Mobile a year or so ago. . .and I thought some of those were firey!

No kidding, here.
We did chili cookoffs at Edwards AFB for years and Bob Ettinger, always of straight face but devious mind, one year brought a pretty good, but hot, chili. I liked it and asked for his recipe, although it was a little on the hot side, even for me. Here it is:
Jalapenos, diced
Water
Chili Powder
Cook until tender.
I make pretty good chili, but I didnt' think I was ever going to beat Bob for the spicy award.
