Spotted last week

Saw this oldie at a CG last week, couldn't find out much about it, somewhat abandoned, interior was beautiful; all birch. Could not get inside pix as light was bad...very cool old unit!

Any body recognize this?

Just got to think about this old pic I posted as I will be heading back to this campground again soon.

Can anyone provide any info?
It was in pretty good condition inside...

Thanx, Bill

Sure it's abandoned and not just being stored? The awning isn't original and it doesn't look that old. Ask the manager at the camp ground and let us know.

Codybear,
I don't know if a Silverstreak qualifies as a Square Old Box, but it does qualify as Some Other Brand Great Pictures!

Hi Aaron,

I thought that sob meant some other brand..duh, guess I'm still learnin' the lingo!

Say, I found a recipe for that creme brulee we were chatting about last nite..do you have one you'd like to share?..I don't have one of those cute little torches I've seen on Martha Stewart and other cooking shows..but the recipe I've got uses either white or light brown sugar or turbinado (sp) brown sugar crystals..

Yeah, I was last there in June and was told it was used by CG staff for a while but has not been used in a couple of years.

I don't know if the CG owns it or it was abandoned there...

I will be back there in a couple of weeks and find out some more.

I have also been in contact with BA club to see if there is any interest.

From what I could see on their site I am guessing 1960 model?

Codybear,
I LIVE on the road my job keeps me on the road about 280 days out of the year. My company canceled my vacations twice this year but I wasn't the only one. The trip to MN is for my third love (Airstreams are the second and my lovely wife is my first ) English Bicycles....well bicycles in general, but a certain fascination with the Nottingham, England built Raleighs. The technology they use has been around for over 100 years and has yet to be really improved upon.

Have you ever been to Sturges' Harley Davidson Museum?..we went there a couple of years ago, just 2 weeks before the great rally there (thnk goodness)..anyways, they had a terrific display of bicycles from the beginning of time (just kidding). the Indians were really neat to look at..I still have my 'no speed' Rocket I've kept from 2nd grade the one with the big baloon tires, that I have hanging on 2 hooks outside.

Codybear,
I haven't been to the Dakotas since about 1979, and never to that museum. There are several cycling museums scattered around the country, there is a pretty good one in Oakland, CA. Eventually I will retire and get a chance to see all of this cool stuff

Aaron,

We don't live far at all from Oakland, I'll have to check that museum out one of these days.
