Sorry we are leaving

Hello Everyone, We have bought a 5th wheel. We will be selling our Argosy that we have done so much work on. Thanks for all the help from everyone on the forum. We have made some very good friends and our friendships will continue. Our Argosy is in Fla with us and will be sold here. We will be putting a classified in the forum about the Argosy. Thanks Marvin and Annie , Toby and Niki.

Hey don't go, stop back now and then. It was so nice meeting you in Otisville. Will you be living in Florida permanently? How big is your 5th wheel and what kind is it? You must be planning on full-timing? Post a link to your pictures. There may be a 5th wheel ahead for other of us. Would be nice to hear your comparisons and observations. Enjoy and take care. Try to send some of that weather up North when you've had enough of it.

No Terry.. that is not the reason. The Argosy is wonderful and but not suited for staying in one place for 6 months.. It is great for short stents but gets a little close with 2 dogs and 2 adults leaving in it. We love it but will part with it and look for another in a few years..Annie

You can still hang around the forums! That's what I do even though we no longer own our A/S!

We wanted more room as well and bought a Some Other Brand (we like it well). I still find this forum very usefull and interesting.

Hope you enjoy your new 5er!

Whether we want to admit it or not, many of the systems in our coaches are shared with many other makes and models of RV's. There is no reason you can't ask or answer a question about, say, water pumps or holding tanks for example.

Hey you blasfeemers (SOB's) Did you not hear - this is the new age of Airstreamers - we just don't care what you have as long as your heart yearns for an Airstream. And did I not see that you are looking for a small one one day for those romantic weekends in the Kawarthas

You two crack me up - you still have your WBCCI membership.

I hope you don't mind but I thought I would share my e-mail to you...

Look in your new Directory on page 24/25 Article VI Sec.2. C.

The fact that you were members in good standing when you sell your Argosy
And
That your other brand will be used for a semi-permanent location being used as your vacation facility - would constitute retention of your membership status.

However - what do "they" expect that you participate in during the Rallies?? This is not clear... No where does it say you can not up root your "semi-permanent SOB and stay in it during a WBCCI event.

"may upon request, retain their membership as Regular Members" Thus you will need to get permission from either HQ the Region or from your Local Unit to retain your membership - once that is done - then you could virtually show up with your Cardinal - then they would have to go through the process of interpretation or challenge of the Articles as written.

I do not think this by-law applies to Members-At-Large as it only states Regular Member - so if you are MAL's then you are SOL with your SOB.
"

Rules Rules - and all we want is to have fun..... You know you can always borrow one of our babies. Just don't sell your argosy prior to the FSR so we can get our last official Rally Fling in!

PS - anyone else out there lurking that have sold their Airstream and still want to be involved with the WBCCI? Anyone exercised the option of retaining their membership????

Annie,
Hope you enjoy your new trailer, I know how hard it is to part with an Airstream or Argosy, but when spending extended time in the trailer it gets real tight. We may be joining you with a 5th wheel soon. Still considering a 34' Airstream if we can find the right one, but a 5th wheel with 3 or 4 slide outs sure offer more room. Where we are here in Texas most of the trailers are 5th wheel and you can have a prety good party in one and our Airstream dosen't have enough room for more than one other couple.

Thumbs up Great to hear from you

Hello.. We just sent the Argosy down the road this am.. a few tears were shed.. but we cannot keep 2 trailers right now.. it was tooooooo small for living in for 6 months... and forget having anyone over for a meal and cards ...We love the room we have with the 2 slides.. it is like living in a small a house.. the dogs are happier also.. more room for them to chase each other.. Hope to see you again soon.. Annie and Marvin

Ta-Da!

Aluminitus strikes again. I was really impressed with your former Argosy. You and your husband did a great job on it.

We'd all hoped you wouldn't be out of the community TOO long, but wow!

Welcome back!

A thirty footer eh? Have fun restoring it. The good part is that even though you have more time before you need it, your work should go faster due to your prior experience.
