Looks to be built "hell-for-stout"...but it's U-G-L-Y IMO!

I think most all the true overlander trailers are pretty cool. If I were only a younger man.....

My son has had one of these on order for 6 months...still waiting....now end of January???? Roughly $60k.

He's trading up from an opus pop up model.

I love the look of my Airstream. Bruder is beautiful too.

The mothership could learn a lot from the Bruder.

$190K USD is a bit much.

Brand, brand, brand.

So Airstream is the first but not only brand currently owned by Thor.

Airstream tries to occupy the affordable luxury niche of the market. The high end lux belongs to those like Provost and so on.

Airstream is stretching the brand a bit with the BaseCamp, and it is struggling to field an up-scale off road capable camper.

The problem is how do you turn a Cadillac into a Jeep? The short answer is, you don't, you make a different brand to appeal to a different market segment because no one product is going to be all things to everyone.

This Australian "caravan" is a remarkable camper; rugged and well-thought out. It's an engineer's camper. How does his wife feel about it? Unless she loves wearing tre-bark camo and is not one for wearing a lot of make-up, you can guess.

It will be a pretty exclusive club, definitely not priced for the average RV user.

But if you're attacked by a MOB of Kangaroos, you're good!
