Retired & Bored, scanning a old LIFE magazine

Since my MH is stored for the winter, and I was cleaning out some old stuff from the basement, I found a LIFE magazine from November 1959.
Sine the weather sucks and I have a scanner that can handle pages that size I figured I would share it with the world. 140 pages!
It has some interesting articles and even more interesting ad's
If you are bored, like me, check it out:

Classic! The magazine AND the fact that you're bored.

Retired and bored? No, just not possible.
1) upgrade project planning and materials purchase
2) trip planning
3) fly inventory restock
4) house todo list
5) Christmas gift shopping and decorations
6) Thanksgiving cleanup
7) New Years Eve Party planning
8) Restock the wine cellar - Black Friday sales
9) Tow vehicle/Tow'd/daily driver/hobby car detail and maintenance
10) Hitch maintenance
11) Neighbor engagement - butter up for house watch
12) Pay it forward todos
13) Making up no fail reasons to not go back to work

and that does not include the photography, the sailing, the golf, the dog duty, the new hobby and those other things that a retired person now has time to do.

Wow, almost forgot the goofing off, the coffee drinking, the gossiping, and the bench racing. No, just not possible to be bored.

Go for it - thanks for the post. Pat

I like #8, I am sort of doing that also, I am making 5 gallons of honey mead in the basement, it is only 4 days old, and it will be months before it is worthy of a glass.
The biggest pain of being a retired State worker is all the damn paperwork. Life use to be easier when working, the State did damn near everything except wipe your ass. Out the door and you are on your own. The mead will come in handy for dealing with that!

my brothers and sister and I were in a Life photo when we visited Freedomland in the early 60's. So whenever I see a stack at a flea market or antique show I end up going through them looking. Haven't yet found it.
Its fun to look though. It was a great treat to get that mag in the mail when we were kids.
