I was just going here...

http://youtu.be/hYDfzo4njqQ

Didn't mean for it to get all weird and stuff...
Watching a Brit action/drama. I've become so accustomed to having four explosions and a car chase in the first ten minutes that I don't know if I can watch this or not. Dang you Brits take a long time to get it started...

-Red, wait, now it's going! Good job, Brits, or whatever it is you like to be called...

My pastor has said my funeral will be easy to preach... This is only the shell, the nut has already departed! I told him I hope he doesn't get to preach it for a loooong time.

Facebook is an interesting thing. Sometimes a colossal waste of time, other times a fun distraction, and sometimes it's just danged AWESOME! I lived in West Virginia for a few years back in the late '80's. Made some great friends, and then lost track of them over the last 25 years. Just reconnected with a very good friend from the past. Amazing how two lives can parallel each other as much as they do... Made me wonder if that's part of what created the friendship in the first place, having that much in common, and not even realizing it.

We've been laughing our butts off over "The Stupid Years" as I refer to them... Thanks for the reunion, facebook!

-Red, still as stupid as ever...

From the Naval Academy in the 30s. Question asked of my former father-in-law (now deceased) as a plebe.

Question:

How long is a china man?

Correct answer:

Yes

Brain teaser:

How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

Well, of course he is! Háo Long must be Chinese! Except in China his name would be Long Háo— surname first— and depending on the ideograms used to write it, could mean "dragon's hair."

I'm constantly amazed by the trivia one picks up living in a multi-ethnic city like New Orleans!

So, how long is dragon's hair? Or a China man?

The answer is Yes. and Yes. How Long IS "dragon's hair." And How Long is indeed a China man.

A man was found dead inside a phone booth (remember those?) He had deep cuts on his hands and wrist - bled to death.

A fishing rod was leaning up against the outside of the booth.

How did he die?

Oops! Forgot something. Let's try again.

A man was found dead inside a phone booth (remember those?) He had deep cuts on his hands and wrist - bled to death. The glass on both sides of the booth was broken.

A fishing rod was leaning up against the outside of the booth.

Why did he die?

A 240 year old time capsule that was buried by Samuel Adams and Paul Revere is being opened on the news... Wait, it was already opened and re-sealed in the mid 1800's. Had a newspaper, some coins, and a silver plate engraving with the date and such on it. They're thinking of adding a few things and re-sealing it, like they did in the 1800's.

What the heck could you add to a time capsule that was originally placed by the founding fathers that would add any significance to it? Keep it away from congress, or it will have "John Boehner was here" scratched on the silver plate...

Loading the camper this morning to head out to Canopener tomorrow! See y'all on the road!

-Red, stoked to be leaving!!!

A wood chuck would chuck as much as a woodchuck could chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood.

Toss off the lines and go! Just hooked mine up. Loading has commenced. Lift off in 18 hours and 5 minutes...
