Because people speed!! If everyone drove the limit we wouldn't need speed bumps, but the majority if people just drive too fast in parking lots and side streets.

WHAAAA? I thought 80 MPH was perfectly acceptable for a Walmart parking lot.

Speed Bump/no

What are these "people" that speed? Not AS folks, right? We got this covered, right? We don't need no speed bumps, right?

Must put that RV park with the sign "Only you can prevent speed bumps!" on my "got to stay there when in the area" list.

The ideal speed bump would be level when folks are not speeding and raise up when those "people" approach.

Pat

I am always chill in parking lots, neighborhoods, and really any place around significant population. This is true whether I am towing or not.

Out on the open highway, depending on circumstance, I might push the limits a little.

The new Star Wars movie should have space pirates in it.

Because then it could be rated "Arrrrr!"

Sure it would. And if it had Pirates in it, we could also call it "St-arrrrr! Wars"

They're actually horrible people. Read Hitchens.

Our time

Was standing in line at the hardware store to purchase some antifreeze for the AS and a young boy started swinging an extended magnet wand from the "pick up before you go shelf" as an improvised "Light Sabre". His mother told him to put it up and apologized. He quickly complied, but it's clear he was in a galaxy far, far away and that Lucas fellow has made an impact. Quite Fantastic! Pat

Two days 'til Christmas.....Thunderstorms, 65 degrees outside and flash flooding, 5 inches of rain at our house so far. Been on vacation all week and still haven't seen Star Wars.

Hangin' out with the Grand kids has been fun, tho. Y'all have a great Christmas!

Jim, feeling a little water-logged right about now.

It's 80 degrees here and to the north. I saw a guy cutting grass a little while ago.

Had on heck of a squall line pass through our area in Bloomington, Indiana last night. We were under a Tornado watch for over 7 hours. This weather is more typical of March around here where I grew up.

Random thought: lesson learned. When you have only two nights below freezing in New England from October through Christmas - I winterize and get camping. What a waste of great weekends!!! 😕

Hope those twisties missed you all. That kind of storm is not fun and you have our sympathy for the emotional stress. Never liked a dark night with radar warnings but no way to see what was in the area. Hold tight and best wishes for a Merry Christmas and lots of cheer for the new year. Best - Pat

So here's my Random Thought of the day.

Son-In-Law and I dropped the girls off at the mall on Monday and went to see Star Wars. IT WAS FANTASTIC. If you haven't seen it, GO!!

I won't give away anything about the movie, but I will say it is much more like the first three movies; heroes, good guys, bad guys. And not much like the last three movies. If you remember when Star Wars debuted in 1977, you'll relive the excitement. 'Nuff Said, before I spoil it for somebody.

May the force be with you.

Jim

Edit: If you've seen it already, mum's the word, okay? Don't give anything away.

Yep, also saw it today. Well worth it. I remember standing in line for the first one. This nailed it solidly.

No spoilers, but be prepared for a wild ride.
