I bought Knopfler and Chet Atkins "Neck and Neck". Pretty good stuff. You can really hear a lot of the "Brothers In Arms" album in the songs.

Love the vibe of the PMJ stuff. That's just too cool...

Boy this thread really sucks. Just a bunch of young music lover wanna-bees who don't even know what good music really is.

Get real Children, the best music comes from the late '50s / early '60s. All the rest is just imitation music/noise.

What? No I can't hear very well; you'll have to speak up. The top is down on my little duece coup. It's quieter out on the John B, tho. At least it's warm here in my room.

but Buddy Guy says

Blues don't care if you're young or old, a real big deal or some poor soul. Makes no different if you're wrong or right, blues will track you down, it's gonna pick a fight. Blues don't care, blues don't care. I know, cause I've had my share.

It'll creep up on you when you least expect, make the hair stand up on the back of your neck, try to run but there ain't no escape, it's a middle finger on the hand up faith, oh don't care. Blues ain't fair. I know, cause I've had my share.

You can buy insurance, try to ease your mind, lock up your woman and hide your wine, bury your money in the cold hard ground, but the blues are gonna get you some way, somehow. Blues don't care, no blues don't care. I know, yes y'all, cause I really had my share.

blues don't care

All of the Mark Knopfler stuff is great listening, from his DS days to all other collaborations. Even his soundtrack stuff.
Neil Young is also rereleasing three of his early albums that have become known as The Ditch Trilogy, on vinyl. Also included is a very hard to find 4th album Time Fades Away. Included are On The Beach, Tonights The Night, and Zuma.

I remember having a 4 track when 8 track came out. You could listen to 1/2 of the tracks. When you got tired of those you could reach in thru the flap with a screwdriver and adjust the head to play the other 1/2 of the tracks.

Figure this, a typical check at a restaurant these days is about $60, minimum, for a party of four, and I think that's a little on the light side. But anyway, figure $9 tip (15%), and a waitress will wait at least four tables at a time, so that's become $36, and how long does it typically take to eat? I think one hour is average. So that becomes $36 an hour. Just my thoughts, and YMMV.
Sorry, I can't let this go, I've know too many waiters. It's way off topic but I'm with Paula on this one. That $36 that you come up with is not just for the waiter you are face to face with, it's also the person who showed you to your seat, took your orders, made your food and drinks, brought your food and drinks, bussed your table, washed your dishes and did the set up for the next customer. All those people share the tips but you see very few of them and tip only the one that took your orders and brought you the bill.

This can vary by locale and custom but I have never known a server who gets to keep it all. I've know a lot of servers, none of them are living in mansions. Most are just struggling to pay their tuition, books, fees and buy gas to go home for the holidays. I've raised two of them.

That being said, I like the Beach Boys A LOT!

Ring... Ring...

(On the phone) I'd like to order a pizza, with no anchovies?

(This end) No anchovies? You've got the wrong number. I spell my name Danger.
