Pop-up of death
Why does the ''Airstream Daily'' pop-up kill my computer screan. I click on the ''X'' to rid of this pesky pop-up then it reappears. Each time I click on the''X'' the computer screan darkens. After three clicks it's all black. Is anyone else experiancing this?

No popups here. Using Safari, popups are disabled in the browser, and also have AdBlock installed.

The first time I saw the pop-up, I opted to get the email of new topics. I haven't seen the pop-up again on this PC. When I log in on a different device, the pop-up shows up again, and I am able to click the x and make it go away. I don't remember it showing up on either of my iOS devices or my Android device with the mobile app installed, but I do seem to recall seeing it on Safari on my iMac with Yosemite OS. I would think after you respond to it one way or the other that it would not come back.
Have you cleared your cache and cookies and installed a pop-up blocker?

I have no problems on my work computer (an older version of Internet Explorer), my home computer (Google Chrome) or my tablet or smartphone (AirForums App for Android).
As the folks in our IT department might say, perhaps it's a loose wingnut between the keyboard and the seat?

Let's see if we can figure out why this is happening...
Can you tell me what device you are browsing with and OS?
Do you allow cookie exchange with the site?
Are you logged in when this is happening?

Thanks for the advice everyone. What is OS and cookie exchange? I go to safty and delete history before turning off computer. I have a 4yr. old Toshiba with windows 7. A Virgin hotspot since I live in the boonies. Installed new Kaspersky security. And yes it happens when log in, but not as much. I will subscribe and read a couple e-mails then decide whether to spam or not to spam. As you can tell a 3yr old has better computer skills than I. Maybe my computer is reminding me, that time it's to renew my site subscription.

It looks like you are practicing extremely safe surfing... and in the process deleting the cookie that is set to remember that you clicked on the X in the box corner. Are you using Internet Explorer to view the site?

Sounds like you've got some malware on your PC. Do you get any other pop ups that you need to delete from time to time. If you do, I use Mallwarebytes, it filters everything from the internet, stops anything it does not like and I have to approve what it filters. I opened a link from one of the forums recently and Mallwarebytes stopped the link, I allowed it for curiosity and sure enough a bunch of spam hit my PC. I then activated the scan from Mallwarebytes and it cleaned up about 50 questionable sites that apparently were downloaded from the one link posted by a member of the forum, unknowingly I am sure, but there nonetheless. Mallwarebytes has a free trial period if you want to try it. The program was invented by a 12 year old about 10 years ago and at that time it was totally free.

I experienced (and continue to experience) the exact issue the OP has described, but only when using Chrome via my Galaxy Note 3; I've not experienced it when using various PC and browser combinations.
As described, the advertisement appears, I click the "X" and it continues to re-appear until the site becomes unusable. I am not logged into my airforums account when browsing from this device/browser.
The re-appearing advertisement happens automatically and repeatedly without any interaction from me. On re-appearance the email-box has focus so the on-screen keyboard is automatically enabled.
Refreshing the the "www.airforums.com" page after this occurs eliminates the issue, as I am not re-prompted by the advertisement.
If you need any further details, please let me know.

Everything checks out for me just fine, using 4 different OS and multiple browsers. Usually if a single person is having an issue it tracks back to malware, security settings or stale cookies.
Quite often when a security update is put out by Microcrap it changes things without you knowing it and quite often causes issues. Apple does the same thing but to a lesser extent.
FWIW I use Windoze 7, Vista, XP, Linux and OS X. Browsers range from Chrome, Firefox, IceWeasel, Opera, Safari and a few different versions of IE. Obviously I have too much time on my hands.

Happens to me only when using the AirForum Android App on my Galaxy Note 4. No problem on my PC.
