Pictures from Air Forums in RV Life Magazine

So I was reading RV Life Magazine and I noticed a picture of an Airstream. It was in the "columns" section, under "tech tips," low voltage in your RV. On closer inspection, much to my surprise, it was a picture I posted on Air Forums back in 2015. Wow, a picture of my Airstream, parked at my farm, plugged in to my pedestal. I had actually posted a couple pictures of my electric pedestal, in the same post, again, from 2015. So how much do they owe me for using my picture.

I didn't know they could do that, but I guess once I posted the picture, it is OK for others to use it where ever they want. So don't forget, what you post may end up being used by someone else.

If I were to post a photo from this site on another website, newspaper, magazine etc., in theory I should get the permission of the copyright holder [AF or SK], and pay them a fee.

This is very standard old-fashioned copyright law, which pre-dates the Internet by centuries.

I really wasn't expecting to get paid, but I did think it was a little creepy when I first noticed my picture in their magazine. Yes you are correct, looks like the same owners for AF and RVLife.
