Pics of Discovery launch

Here are some pics I took of the launch. We were about three miles away.
VERY VERY LOUD the whole boat vibrated. This camrea was preety old so it does not convey how awsome it was. Glad I callled in sick!

We were able to see the contrail of the launch from the Gainesville Airport. Sun was in the wrong place to actually see the shuttle. Quite a few folks parked along Waldo Road, had pulled over to see the launch.

God speed Discovery! America is back in space!

I wonder how many people around the world were watching and personally willing the Shuttle up to the (relative) safety of space? I know I was!

Nasa.gov has a live video feed so you can watch what is happening real time on the web. Check it out at http://www.nasa.gov
