I am using Microsoft Photo Editor on my desktop running windows 2000 home edition. My laptop doesn't have this softwear and I can't find out how I ended up with Photo Editor. I was curious as to what program most of you were using to fix-up your photos and resize them. I don't want to purchase a program that is not user friendly.

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 2. It's got most of the features of photoshop and costs a LOT less.

I teach a class on Photoshop Elements at the yearly Region 9
Computer Rally . I'm convinced that at the price-performance level, this program will admirably serve all but the high-end professional photographers. I have found the program at Sams for about $40.

I also use Photoshop Elements. You can do as much or a little as you want. It seems suitable a wide range of skill levels and needs. I've tried some of the other packages out there including Photoshop Home Deluxe -- Although they have a lot of automated features, they never quite do what you need or want.

All the software packages say that this is the product you must have. I have a stack of cd's that I found just not user friendly. I will look in Sam's for Photo Shop. Thanks

Photoshop Elements 3.0 has just been released. Do not purchase 2.0, especially if you have one of the later model digital cameras with RAW capability. 3.0 supports most of the latest RAW standards and has some nice bells and whistles that Photoshop CS ($650) sported originally for a lot less money: <$99.00.

The Elements program is very capable and responds to a little initial set-up care with beautiful photos. If you are looking for one of the best printers designed as a photo printer look at the latest Epson offerings with the R800 producing some of the finest 8x10 borderless photos you are ever going to see IMHO!
