Overflow

I am having a problem when hooked up to city water. My fresh water tank fills to overflowing. Should the city water be bypassing the fresh water holding tank? How do I make this happen? I'm sure this is a below beginner Question, but I have looked in the owner's manual and can't find anything about this. Actually, there seems to be alot of things I can't find in the owner' manual. Thank God I can ask all of you that know what you are doing.

your check valve in your pump has failed. IF you don't have a check valve in the pump (as in Shureflow pumps) you should have one in the line on the output side of the pump. this is a bad thing, you need to fix ASAP.

I checked and I have an Aquajet pump. Does this make a differance?

I just upgraded to the enhanced account. It is a bargain. I could not begin to pay for all the help and info I get from the forum.
