Ah, yes! Chocolate, empty calories and little kids! So, have ya seen any ghosts and goblins yet? Our friends are on the way to our house for trick-or-treating. Their kids always find a way to put a big smile on Uncle Jim and Aunt Susan’s face! I love the holidays!

Because of our choices in homes, we've not had a ghost or goblin since 1978. When we moved from the neighborhood, we moved into a high rise apartment living on the 14th floor - no trick or treaters. Then into a cooperative for folks 55 and over (until the Fed'l Gov't changed the rules and said no discrimination due to age) and now in a gated community 15 miles from the nearest town or city. No electricity to waste on street lights, hilly & curvy roads so very few walkers - steep hills anyway so, again, no trick or treaters. I've never thought of it before but since 1978 we've probably saved quite a bit of money not buying Halloween handouts (mmmm, enough to buy our first Airstream???) See you all down the road one day..........Happy 'streamin.

Mules, a horse, a donkey and a crazy dog...
Oh, trick-or-treaters? Nope, none of them.

My favorites were Dorothy, complete with the Ruby Red shoes and the Grim Reaper. Gotta love the creativity of kids.

We are camped tonight in Lucy at Woods RV Park in Montgomery, Alabama. We haven't had a single tick-or-treater tonight. We are sitting here eating all the candy that we bought. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!

Happy Halloween!
Well, see if anyone can beat this: We guess we had over 1,500 trick or treaters tonight! Whew! Our neighbors put on this big haunted house thingy... before they started we had about 10 kids come to the door. That was a different time! Our candy lasted about 2 hours, then we closed the door and turned out the lights!
One little girl in a pretty fluffy dress and all came up and Don said, "Oh, you must be a Princess!" She looked at him and in no uncertain terms said, "No, I am a Diva!" We must be getting old here.....

Gotta love those diva's! My favorite was a cowgirl complete with gun! And then there was Elmo and the giraffe....lots of fun for all! But, I have no candy left!!!!

Beach Halloween
This was the only sign of Halloween on this section of beach in Gulf Shores, AL. No takers on the candy since this is the off season and a great time to be here.
